Welcome to “The Church of God International” Springfield, Missouri website.  Have you ever at some point wanted to share news of something but just wasn’t sure how to go about it?  The idea came to mind that the Springfield Congregation needed a way of talking about the Sabbath and God’s Holy Days that we keep with so many friends in the Churches of God.

David Campbell is Pastor of the Springfield, Missouri Congregation and works with the Home Office of “The Church of God International” located in Tyler, Texas but he also works with various Churches of God as God leads him.  He and his wife Lanora as well as the Springfield, Missouri Congregation wanted a way to share “Unity of the Spirit” with the people of God, sharing the history, photos, activities and stories of the “Sabbath and God’s Holy Days” which includes the fall festival of the Feast of Tabernacles that we keep from year to year.

The people of the Springfield Congregation have many friends that attend Sabbath Services and God’s Holy Days throughout the world.  In the fall God’s people travel from all over the world from different organizations (under different administrations) of the Churches of God to attend the Fall Festival of the Feast of Tabernacles.  The Feast of Tabernacles is kept throughout the United States and kept internationally as well.

The Apostle Paul pointed out in 1 Corinthians 12:27-31 that we all make up the body of Christ.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
The more excellent way that Paul was speaking of was through showing Love for one another.  Of course we are all familiar with the Love Chapter in 1 Corinthians 13.

13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Christ commands us to love one another as He also loved us in John 13:34-35.

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

This web site is a way that our friends, extended family and new friends yet to be made can feel like they are with us even when they are unable to attend Sabbath Services and God’s Holy Days. The Home Office in Tyler, Texas provides a live web cast each Sabbath for those who are unable to attend.  We as the body can comfort and strengthen one another from the cares of the world by putting on the “Whole Armor of God.”  We can make comments, share thoughts, express ideas, learn more about God’s Sabbath, Holy Days and also learn how to live our daily lives with Christ as our High Priest and example.

Even King David expresses Unity in Psalm 133:1 A Song of Ascents Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!

We have dedicated this site to our Great God the Father, His Son our Savior Jesus Christ and all those who serve His people around the world.
